Auton ensimmäinen omistaja on ollut Argentiinan suurlähetystö Helsingissä, ja pitkäaikainen omistaja oli varhainen FJDC:n jäsen, jonka omistuksessa MK9 oli aina hänen poismenoonsa saakka.
MK9 on viimeinen ”Class1c 819 Jaguar”, Joille on mm. Englannissa, USA:ssa Ja Euroopassa oma klubinsakin. Autossa on 3.8L XK-kone, levyjarrut kaikissa pyörissä, ohjaustehostin ja jarrutehostin sekä kattoluukku.
Kyseinen yksilö on aivan v11me1siä valmistuneita Mark Ysejä, noin 150 autoa valmistui enää tämän Jälkeen vuonna 1961. Tämä on myös nk. ”six passenger saloon” eli siinä on täysleveä etupenkki, jolle mahtuu kolme henkeä kuten takapenkillekin, ja sen ansiosta on takapenkin pIcnic-pöytien välissä hieno lehtiteline, lukittava lokero sekä sähköinen kello takamatkustajille.
Vuosimalli siis 1961, väri hopea, sisustus ruskea. Hyvin alkuperäinen ja vähäruosteinen museoprojekti (alusta on ruostesuojattu huolella aikoinaan, samoin lattiat yms.). Ovien alareunoissa on ruostevaurioita, mutta ne on aika helppo korjata. Auto on seissyt pitkään, mutta hyvässä tallessa. Kaikki on paikoillaan, alkuperäiset ”matching numbers” kone, sylinterinkansi, kori, alusta Ja BW-automaattivaihteisto.
Koneeseen on hiljakkoin vaihdettu öljyt ja jäähdytysnesteet, bensalinja puhdistettu, bensapumput huollettu yms. Jarrut kaipaavat puhdistuksen ja uudet tiivisteet sekä ilmauksen uusilla nesteillä. Kaikki mittarit yms. toimivat paitsi lämpömittari, josta on putki poikki termostaatin vierestä. Tarvitsee säätää ja huoltaa pitkän seisonnan jälkeen, jotta saa ajoon.

The first owner was the Argentine Embassy in Helsinki, the long-time owner was an early member of the FJDC, the clairvoyant Vilho Raatikainen until his “departure”.
”Mark Ysi” is the last ”Classic Big Jaguar” to have mm. There is also a club in England, USA and Europe. 3.8L XK machine, disc brakes, power steering and sunroof.
This individual is the very last completed Mark Yys, about 150 cars was completed after that in 1961. The car is so-called ”six passenger saloon”, ie a full-width front seat for three people, such as even in the back seat. Rear-seat has pick-nick tables with magazine rack, lockable tray and electronic clock for rear passengers. Car is silver gray with brown interior.
The very original and almost rust-free museum project from the beginning has been carefully rust-proof at times, as have the floors, etc. There is rust damage that can be easily repaired at the bottom of the doors. Stood for a long time, but in good condition. The machine rotates nicely and everything is in place; original ”matching numbers” machine, cylinder head, body, chassis and BW automatic transmission. Fresh oils and coolants have been changed recently, the valve mechanism is working properly, the petrol line has been cleaned, the petrol pumps have been serviced, starting well and running well, there is no smoke or leakage from the rear crankshaft seal. Moves and stops, though the brakes need cleaning and new seals and bleed with new fluids. All meters etc. work except the thermometer, which has a pipe across next to the thermostat. Good oil pressure and smooth running. Sure, you need to adjust and service after a long standstill to get driving.
